About Alexi
Photography
Digital Art
The first time Alexi picked up a camera was at age 15 in his first of what would turn out to be probably too many photography classes. It was his father's old film Nikon camera, and from that moment, he was hooked. Looking back at those photos over 20 years later, Alexi realized how bad he was at photography back then. But who is really that good when they first start a hobby, anyway? Thankfully, Alexi took more classes, experimented more, and slowly developed his own style, which is where he finds himself today.

Candid photos of his adventures and lifestyle portraits of pets are Alexi's bread and butter. Funnily enough, he has never taken a photo of bread or butter. Capturing fun, laughter, and good times is Alexi's mission when it comes to pressing the shutter release button, and that's about most of what you'll see here on his website. There is a smattering of landscape and cityscapes, along with some other commercial work—he does need to pay the bills occasionally.

If you like Alexi's photos and would like to purchase a print or hire him to capture great photos of your pet, please don't hesitate to reach out to him to make a booking. He's a really nice guy and, despite the scary big beard, is a joy to hang out with.
If you've looked at Alexi's digital drawings, you've probably wondered, "What are these things?!" And if you've come here looking for answers, you'll get a couple, but probably not the one you want.

Right off the bat, Alexi doesn't know what these are. They're called Hooeys, and that's about all we know. You’re now probably wondering, "What is a Hooey?" and that’s a great question. They are what they are, and they don't represent people, things, events, or ideas. They're just fun, so you should have fun looking at them!

For a long time, Alexi didn't feel the need to share his Hooeys with the world. He did have an Instagram for them with a few hundred followers, but that was about it. You see, his father was the artist of the family, and it wasn't until his father's passing in 2022 that Alexi felt the torch pass to him, and his passion for showing his art truly ignited. He hit the ground running and within a year was ready to show the world his unique and fun creations.

Today, Alexi exhibits his work at art fairs, in publications, cafes, and even dispensaries around Colorado. If you'd like to purchase a print or commission him to create a one-of-a-kind painting, simply send him a DM or an email. He's a very friendly guy who's happy to chat with you about any questions you have.
